A ten-minute morning routine for a marketing lead

Most marketing leads start the day by checking six tools. A short, fixed routine gets you to the decisions that matter before the day fills up.

The first hour of the day sets the tone for the rest. If you spend it reacting to whatever arrived overnight, the important decisions slip to the afternoon, when you are tired and the calendar is full.

A routine does not need to be clever. It needs to be short enough that you actually do it, and the same every day, so it takes no thought.

A routine that fits in ten minutes

  • Clear what is waiting on you. Anything that needs your yes comes first, because other people and other work are blocked behind it.
  • Glance at what finished. Look at what got done overnight, so you know what is ready and what is not.
  • Pick the one thing that matters today. Write it down before you open anything else.
  • Hand off the rest. Anything that is not yours to do goes to the person or the operator who owns it, with enough detail to start.

What to leave out

The routine is not a status review. Do not read every thread, and do not open every dashboard. If something is urgent, it should reach you through the approval list or a direct message. Everything else can wait until you have decided what today is for.

Why the order matters

Approvals go first because they are the only part of your morning that other people are waiting on. A reply that takes you 30 seconds can save a colleague a whole afternoon of idle time. Your own deep work can start a little later without anyone noticing.

How Levric does it

Home opens with a greeting and then the things that need you. The "Waiting on you" list sits at the top, with the detail to decide on each card. Below it is one box that says "Ask Chief anything", for the thing you thought of in the shower. Type it, and Chief picks it up and shows you the work as it goes.

If you want a report to be there every morning, pin it to Home from any chat. It stays on Home, so your routine starts from the same place each day.
