How to keep every post on brand when more than one person writes them
Brand drift on social rarely comes from one big mistake. It comes from twenty small ones, each fine on its own.
· Social · 3 min read
Over a year, a company’s social presence is written by the founder, a marketer, an agency, an intern and whoever had a spare hour. The result is a feed with five slightly different voices and images in three different styles. No single post is wrong. The whole thing just does not look like one company.
What actually drifts
- Tone. Formal in one post, jokey in the next.
- Claims. A feature described three different ways.
- Images. Different colours, fonts and layouts for every graphic.
- Terms. The product, the team and the customer called different things.
What holds it together
Write the voice down in plain terms, with examples of what you do and do not say. Keep the colours, fonts and logo rules where everyone can find them. Keep a library of approved images and graphics that people reuse instead of rebuilding.
Then review with one question. Would a reader know this came from us if the logo were covered?
How Levric does it
In Levric, Chief writes posts in your voice and makes the matching images in your brand, so the first draft already looks and sounds like you. Your library of assets sits in the social page, ready to reuse.
A person still approves each post. Posts marked Approve are waiting for a yes, and nothing goes out until someone gives it.
