Approval without bottlenecks: how to review social posts fast

Approval protects the brand. Done badly, it also makes posts late and reviewers resentful. A few changes keep the first without the second.

· Social · 3 min read

Most teams add approval after something goes wrong. A post goes out with a typo or a claim legal had not seen. After that, every post needs sign-off, and sign-off becomes the slowest part of the week.

Why approval stalls

  • Reviewers do not know what is waiting for them.
  • Posts arrive one at a time, in different places, at different hours.
  • Feedback comes as a long thread, so the writer has to guess what to change.
  • Nobody knows whether silence means yes.

What makes review quick

Put everything that needs a decision in one place. Review in batches, not as posts trickle in. Make the choice simple. Approve, change or drop. Give changes as short instructions, not a debate.

Keep the rule that nothing goes out without a yes. That rule is what makes it safe to draft more, because drafting stops being risky.

How Levric does it

Levric’s social page has a Needs approval filter that shows only the posts waiting on someone. Each one is marked Approve, so you can see at a glance what is open.

Chief writes the posts and makes the changes you ask for. You decide what goes out. Nothing posts by itself, and the calendar shows what is approved and what is still waiting.
